What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transformer Tester position at ERMCO-ECI?
Overview:
We are hiring for a tester to perform across departments team functions necessary to accomplish manufacturing Department transformer production requirements to ensure customer on time delivery.
Responsibilities:
Position responsibilities as follows:
- Perform all standard tests using required manual and automatic test equipment such as ratio, impulse, and over-potential testers; ohm, watt, and voltmeters; oscilloscope; etc.
- Observe for pass/fail indicators or compare results to acceptable limits.
- Observe for equipment malfunctions, incorrect lead connections, and improperly inserted or wrong test card for units, which fail tests; take appropriate corrective action and retest unit.
- Initial test card for units, which pass the test and route to next workstation. Notify supervision of unusual test result or abnormal failure tests.
- Meet team production target daily.
- 100% quality audit on every weld done in coil winding.
- Spot check paper and foil quality to confirm it meets specifications.
- If defects are spotted, this position is to get with the winder that created the defect and train them to correct the issue.
High School and/or GED and a minimum of 2 years experience in coil winding.
- Welding Certification
- Foil Winding Experience
- Experience with welding and being able to determine a good vs bad weld.
- Visual Inspection Skills
- Knowledge on using a computer.
Salary : $36,200 - $45,800
