Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lowboy Driver to join our team. As a Lowboy Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads using a lowboy trailer. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and secure transportation of equipment to various job sites, construction projects, or client locations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads to and from job sites or client locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lowboy trailer and equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- transport equipment from various sources located in the general area to the job site, ability to operate loaders, excavator, skid steer, bulldozer, etc
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick-ups, mileage, and fuel usage, completing required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to appropriate personnel promptly.
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A
- Proven experience as a lowboy driver or similar role in the transportation or construction industry.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations or accidents in the past.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and secure heavy equipment using proper techniques and equipment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts as needed.
- DOT Medical Card
- experience with oversized loads and must keep vehicle operational by following operating instructions.
