Position Overview:
As the Wood Framing Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of wood framing operations on our construction sites. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled carpenters, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate wood framing activities on construction sites, including layout, installation, and inspection of framing components.
- Lead, mentor, and train framing crew members to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and execute project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications and building codes.
- Identify and address any issues or obstacles that may arise during construction, taking proactive measures to minimize delays and ensure project continuity.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to coordinate work activities and resolve any conflicts or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and manpower utilization, and provide timely updates to project management.
- Promote a culture of safety and adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in wood framing construction, with demonstrated expertise in residential and commercial projects.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing framing crews and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of framing techniques, building codes, and construction practices, with the ability to interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to project management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software is preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification or willingness to obtain.
