About the Role:
We are seeking a Depot Configuration Center Manager to oversee and drive the productivity of our in-house technical services team. This role is crucial in ensuring our Depot Services operations run smoothly, maintaining efficiency in asset configuration, repair, and lifecycle management for a variety of Retail, Office, and Consumer Technology equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in asset management, device repair & configuration, and network fundamentals. Additionally, experience in process improvement and leadership is essential for guiding our team and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Operations:
- Supervise Depot Configuration Center Technicians and provide guidance on staffing and performance.
- Manage workflows, priorities, and production schedules to meet customer commitments.
- Monitor technician productivity, policy adherence, attendance, and quality standards.
- Assist with production tasks as needed to meet deadlines.
- Customer & Business Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues.
- Provide regular updates to upper management regarding department status, challenges, and opportunities.
- Work with customers to assess technical needs, propose solutions, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Technical & Process Improvement:
- Oversee hardware and software configurations, repairs, and network setup for a range of technology equipment.
- Evaluate and update technical documentation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance department effectiveness and profitability.
- Prior experience in a technical field with a focus on asset management, device repair, configuration, and network fundamentals.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to delegate, prioritize, and manage department operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills related to PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and POS technology.
- Familiarity with Excel functions and systematic asset tracking.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for team and customer interactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, ensuring quality and efficiency in operations.
Preferred Qualifications (a Plus):
- Experience with MDM software for device management.
- Familiarity with system management software for enterprise IT environments.
- Knowledge of Oracle-based POS software and related system configurations.
