Lab testing Aide

Job title:- Lubricant Testing Lab Aide

Location:- Tarrytown, NY 10591

Duration:- 12 Months

Pay rate:- $18/hr

Qualifications:

• Someone with lab experience would be preferred.
• Familiar with lab safety protocol. Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures. Capable of moving and handling large containers of oil and related fluids (preferred).
• Ability to interact frequently with a variety of functions, such as scientists, building maintenance, shipping/receiving personnel, safety personnel.
• Good organizational and time-management skills. Must be comfortable using Excel, Outlook, Word, basic Microsoft suite programs.

Responsibilities:

• Wash laboratory glassware and distribute to various lab personnel
• Maintain chemical inventory
• Maintain supply of solvents and materials needed by scientists
• Maintain inventory of basic laboratory supplies, such as paper towels, gloves, pipettes, soap, etc.
• Manage the waste disposal of chemicals used within the group
• Management of fleet test samples and test results
• Assist with shipping and receiving of test samples
• Administration of quality documentation
• Work with all lab personnel to maintain an organized and safe lab environment
• Follow all safety regulations and participate in safety inspections and monthly safety meetings.

Comments/Special Instructions

• Flexible on time for each day but would require 4 hours per day.
• Operating hours of the building are 8am - 4pm.
