What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Program Site Coordinator (20 hours per week) position at Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services?
Basic Function
Responsible for supervising site staff, recruiting students, facilitating the youth program activities, maintaining the site, and performing program-related assignments as needed by the Youth Program Manager. This is a part-time position for our North 1 location at 5918 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, OH, 43229.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate development and implementation of all aspects of the after-school and summer programs.
- Manage all day-to-day operations of the program sites, including organization, maintenance, cleaning, safety, and security.
- Maintain student files, progress reports, attendance, and other necessary participant documents
- Establish and maintain relationships and communication with youth, parents and staff regarding students’ needs and progress.
- Establish and maintain communication with the participant’s school regarding student needs.
- Assist in facilitating partnerships with agencies that provide services to students and families.
- Complete reports and administrative tasks on a timely basis
- Provide site updates and create newsletters
- Coordinate and recruit tutors and tutor volunteers
- Plan curriculum activities and supervise implementation.
- Supervise, manage, and evaluate staff.
- Perform tasks pertinent to achieving goals and objectives required by Youth Program grant, or as deemed necessary by Program Director.

Bachelor’s degree in education and/or social services preferred or combination of some college and relevant experience.
