The Sales Director will be responsible for establishing processes, tools, and structures to enhance the sales organization's operations.
The Sales Director will set long-term and short-term goals for teams and individuals, using data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and improve performance.
The Sales Director will keep track of the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base.
The Sales Director will leverage customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders on identifying and suggesting new products.
The Sales Director will build and develop effective sales and support teams through recruiting, mentoring, and training.
The Sales Director will engage in meetings, presentations, and demos to support or close strategic or high-value sales.
- Manage direct reports' KPI settings, 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, and performance management.
- Conduct bi-monthly in-person meetings with direct report team members.
- Work closely with ingredient sourcing, raw material, and purchasing teams and meet monthly.
- Visit all customers at least once a year and travel as necessary to meet with other sales team customers.
- Increase revenues of existing key customer accounts by maintaining close relationships and communication to understand their needs.
- Develop strategic customer plans that align with company goals and objectives.
- Identify and develop new customer accounts through networking and direct contacts.
- Coordinate with company sales support to ensure availability and timely delivery of technical support services and product training.
- Manage the entire selling process, including regular customer visits, sharing product information, quotations, order processing, and post-delivery follow-up.
- Stay up-to-date with the bakery and ingredient markets, including competitor activities, new market trends, new products, and ingredients.
- Calculate margins, negotiate terms, prepare estimates, and bids to meet specific customer needs.
- Prepare annual budgets based on customer sales forecasts.
- Represent the company in local exhibitions, conferences, and seminars.
- Participate in monthly sales meetings.
