Job Description
We seek an experienced Lead Network Engineer II in Tulsa, OK. Under the general supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, the Lead Network Engineer II will need to be able to communicate network-related and security issues in a user-friendly, professional manner. The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of troubleshooting complex network environments, including hardware issues within the infrastructure, including routers, switches, servers, power systems, firewalls, WAN & associated services, as well as cloud-based SaaS, IaaS, and SDN.
An ability to work independently and collaboratively is essential. Travel will be required.
You will :
- Network Design and Implementation : Design, configure, and deploy network solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure.
- Network Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, utilizing various tools and techniques. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Network Maintenance and Optimization : Conduct regular maintenance activities, such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning, to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures. Generate reports on network performance, utilization, and capacity planning as needed.
- Security Compliance : Implement and enforce network security policies, including access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection / prevention systems. Stay abreast of emerging security threats and recommend countermeasures.
- Technical Support : Support end-users and internal teams regarding network-related issues utilizing the Service-Now Portal.
- Vendor Management : Interact with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment, software, and services.
- Continuous Learning : Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network engineering. Pursue relevant certifications and training opportunities to enhance your skill set.
