What are the responsibilities and job description for the COORDINATOR WATER ADMIN position at Evansville Water and Sewer Utility?
DUTIES:
Schedules the workload of the Pretreatment Program and supervises
the Pretreatment Sampler.
Responsible for scheduling the inspection of
commercial and industrial facilities for compliance with local, state,
and federal wastewater discharge laws and the collection and delivery
of wastewater samples to the Wastewater Lab.
Reviews industrial
reports and issues Notices of Violation.
Investigates customer
complaints with regard to health and environmental compliance
concerns to resolve problems and promote customer satisfaction.
Investigates instances of illegal discharges and misuse of the sewerage
system.
Ensures that local, state, and federal pretreatment reports are
completed and submitted to the Wastewater Lab.
Assists in training
and mentoring of Pretreatment Sampler.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology,
or public health or closely related field is preferred.
Three (3) years
experience in Pretreatment sampling, lab analysis, and facility
inspection including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity or any
combination of experience and education that meets the minimum
requirements may be substituted.
An Indiana Grade D Industrial
Wastewater Treatment License is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of
local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to lab analytical
procedures and pretreatment sampling and inspection, industrial
discharges, hazardous materials, and work safety procedures.
