What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate 1st Shift position at EVCO PLASTICS?
The Warehouse Worker is responsible to coordinating, managing and controlling activities related to warehousing, shipping and receiving of finished goods, raw materials, packaging and work in progress and to follow procedures and embrace new technologies.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
· Basic mathematical functions such as counting, multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting
· Shipping/receiving and inventory experience
· Familiar with automated warehouse systems
· Valid state driver’s license
· Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
· Organizational skills and must maintain good attendance

· Ability to stand on one place for long periods of time and/or move throughout facility on a continuous basis.

· Ability to lift cartons and products of varying weights up to 50 – 70 pounds.
· Ability to stoop, twist, bend, squat and stretch frequently.
· Schedule may vary to accommodate truck lines.
· May be exposed to airborne particles or fumes.
· May be required to wear safety glasses and hearing protection.
Responsibilities:
· Treat all internal and external contacts with uncompromising respect and integrity under all circumstances.
· Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved or distributed.
· Sort and place materials on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
· Fill requisitions and work orders, or requests for materials/stock used on Production Floor.
· Ship packages per customer order or ship items to another plant.
· Enter any/all shipping information into the computer.
· Maintain inventory accuracy and daily cycle counts.
· Ship all packages per manufacturing release to correct plant (gather packages, produce packing list and bill of lading from computer, match correct product order, release shipped package from computer inventory).
· Repack product when necessary.
· Drive company vehicles when necessary.
· Follow company safety procedures to ensure your safety as well as the safety of others.
· Attend team meetings to promote team building.
· General housekeeping to keep the work area and plant clean. Perform other duties as assigned.
