Drone Manufacturing Technician

Event 38 designs and manufactures fixed-wing VTOL drones in Richfield, Ohio. Since 2011, we’ve sold over 600 drones to businesses, governments and NGOs all around the globe. Event 38 builds unmanned aircraft using a variety of construction methods, and we are looking for a Drone Manufacturing Technician to add to our growing team!

Job Responsibilities

The successful applicant will assist with producing parts from carbon fiber and assembling parts into aircraft components with a high degree of precision. The successful applicant may also assist with electrical assembly and installation. Additional duties as needed may include preparing and cleaning molds and finished parts, sanding and painting finished parts, installing electronics into finished assemblies, and general shop cleaning and maintenance.

Qualifications

This position is for an all-around mechanically inclined technician to perform carbon fiber layup and assembly for advanced unmanned aircraft. A successful candidate must:

• Show an aptitude for mechanical work
• Have mechanical technician experience in a related field (automotive, aerospace, machining)
• Display attention to detail
• Be meticulously careful and nimble with intricate details
• Be a reliable team worker
• Be a US citizen, Green Card holder, or have been granted Refugee/Asylee status with a clean criminal history

Additionally, experience with electronic soldering, composite layup, CNC, 3d printers, and/or with laser cutters are desirable, but not required.

Position Details, Benefits, Application Process

The position is full-time, starting immediately. The position is in-person in Richfield, Ohio Monday through Friday with 8-hour day shifts and an expected work schedule of forty (40) hours per week.
