Job Summary: The Miami Accounting team of Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst for our Treaty Team. This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office, 2 remote in Miami, FL. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Data organization and analysis; document organization and storage. Manage the timeliness and accuracy of the quarterly reports/controls. Drive improvements to the reinsurance accounting system to facilitate efficient processes in handling complex accounts. Input of reinsurance premiums, losses, and other information into the general ledger. Review of daily payment receipts and proper allocation of all incoming payments. Work collaboratively with home office accounting staff and with supporting departments such as claims and underwriting. Regular correspondence with back-office staff of client companies regarding overdue balances, claim payments, etc. Support internal and external audit processes as needed. Work Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong accounting and financial skills preferred. 2-3 years of experience in reinsurance and/or insurance or other similar field. Bilingual (Portuguese/English or Spanish/English) is a must; Trilingual (Portuguese/English/Spanish) is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) are required.
