AP/AR Accountant

Job Summary

Everett and Hurite Ophthalmic Association is in search of an AP & AR Accountant to join our healthcare organization. The AP & AR Accountant is responsible for supporting the functions of the financial department and interacts with the Senior Accountant, various department leaders, and management. Daily functions include proper recordation of daily, monthly and annual transactions of the practice to include but not limited to accounts payable, AR transaction reconciliation, and monthly reporting. Will interact with senior accountant, various department leaders, and management. This position is located at our Pittsburgh office, and allows for up to 3 days remote after 90-Days.

Expected to process/handle AP invoices, vendor checks, daily balance reports, drug inventory count sheets, general ledger support, and financial analysis.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associates Degree in accounting or bookkeeping
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting/bookkeeping and accounts payable experience. Health care experiences a plus.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and have the ability to work compatibly as a team member with physicians, managers, and other staff members.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and physician practice management software
• Must be able to work flexible hours if needed as dictated by the needs of the practice.
• High degree of confidentiality is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $43,000.00 per year

Supplemental Pay:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• accounting/bookkeeping: 4 years (Required)
