Job Description
The Senior Project Manager (SPM), Business Development (BD) plays a pivotal role in leading the internal day to-day operations and delivery for all RFI/RFPs, from low (example: capabilities) to medium (example: DAOR) to high complexity (example: AOR), from inception to completion. The SPM has expert-level project management skills that allow them to lead any type of RFI/RFP, with limited supervision, and is considered the primary internal nucleus for the pitch team and proposal responses.
Delivery Ownership
- Full lifecycle delivery and management of complex, technical, strategic, and creative RFIs/RFPs
- Develop and actively manage proposal timelines, estimates, risk registers, communication plans, burn reports, and change logs with minimal oversight
- Lead the pricing estimation process and provide proposal budget and staff plan parameters with minimal supervision
- Lead the proposal timeline creation process in close partnership with internal stakeholders with minimal supervision
- Lead pitch kickoffs, status meetings, and facilitate Growth Pod meetings
- Create and/or review and distribute meeting recaps
- In partnership with AD, develop financial reports for proactive financial management
- In partnership with AD, Finance, and Client Experience (CE) team, facilitate burn analysis, and action
- In partnership with AD and Finance, facilitate investment change orders with Finance lead
- Actively work with BD stakeholders to identify, evaluate, log, communicate, and mitigate proposal-level risks
- Identify and secure pitch staff needs
- Manage consultant paperwork and process
- Resolve conflicts, including schedule, resources, budget, quality, and communication with minimal oversight
- Ensure all proposal artifacts (pricing document, pitch deck, etc.) are properly stored within enterprise systems (Workfront, MS Teams, etc.)
- Accountable for application of EVERSANA INTOUCH delivery processes (i.e. the Road to Winning) and PMO standards
- First point of escalation for BD pitch team to define root cause, resolve conflicts, team dynamic, scope, timing, resources, budget, quality, communication, and drive to resolutions
- Keeps direct manager informed, asks for help when needed, knows when to escalate issues/concerns to leadership; brings solutions
- Participates in candidate interviews, as needed
- Effectively senses team morale and understands how to address
Qualifications
Years of Experience:
- 4 - 8 years
Project Management
- Pharma or Advertising experience preferred (AOR or DAOR)
- Business Development experience preferred
- Experience leading the delivery of complex technology, strategy, and creative-based pitches
- Experience leading various types of RFPs, including capes, project based, DAOR, Media
- Ability to tailor and flex process to provide solutions to proactively facilitate a pitch response
- Comfortable with senior level stakeholder communication
- Intermediate understanding of Project Management Systems and processes
- Excels at performing in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to prioritize RFI/RFPs with competing priorities
- Positive mindset
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risk
- Flexibility and ability to pivot and champion change during the pitch response process
- Ability to autonomously drive a creative, strategic, or technical heavy proposal plan
- Experience leading a wide range of different functional groups and teams
- Intermediate understanding of Project Management Information Systems such as Workfront and Smartsheet
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Highly organized
- Intermediate understanding and applications of PMO standards and processes
Financial Management
- Advanced experience creating proposal timelines and pricing estimates to match a RFI/RFP
- Advanced estimation and scoping skills
- Excellent estimate and change management tracking and adherence
- Expert burn analysis and remediation
- Provide support on monthly or quarterly budget reports
- Responsible for affiliate level financial management and analysis

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $76,000 to $103,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).
