Vice President, Gas System Operations

Role and Scope of Position : Responsible for the leadership and direction of Gas System Control Operations, SCADA, Field Work Coordination, Instrumentation & Regulation, LNG / LPG operations and LNG / LPG capital projects for all Eversource Gas, ensuring all are monitored and controlled to guarantee safe and reliable system operations and gas delivery to customers. Ensure the development and implementation of system upgrades and mitigate customer reliability and / or quality impacts. Establish short-term and long-range objectives, strategic plans, key performance indicators, and policies to support the business. Ensure operational and financial goals are met with strong safety performance, customer focus and in compliance with internal and external requirements.Essential Functions :   Collaborates with other Gas Vice Presidents in developing a robust, consistent, and fully integrated framework of work practices ensuring the delivery of service excellence and best in class processes.Leads the establishment, development, and implementation of Gas System Operations criteria, and planning procedures across CT and MA.Establishes consistency across Eversource Gas System Operations planning and policies.Responsible for ensuring all Gas System Operations planning efforts have a strong focus on operational needs and are well coordinated with Operations and Engineering.Directs the safe reliable operation of critical infrastructure, including pressure control, pressure monitoring, and odorization. Directs all LNG facilities ensuring operations and maintenance activities are performed in accordance with federal and state regulatory requirements and are always ready to perform in a manner fully supportive of the contracts negotiated by Energy Supply.Oversees all projects associated with the upgrade and refurbishment of all LNG facilities to ensure their continued safe and reliable operations.  Ensures all projects are completed within scope, on time and within budget.Leads in the development of a skilled and engaged workforce focused on superior safe and compliant execution, while ensuring that results exceed the expectations of customers, regulators, and investors.Develops the annual plans and budgets for the Gas System Operations organization including staffing levels, work sourcing strategies and system planning deliverables.Technical Knowledge / Skill / Education / Licenses / Certifications : Technical Knowledge / Skill : Excellent communication skillsRequires strong organizational and managerial skillsAbility to manage operating budgets, operating plans and works cross functionally. Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and performance improvement efforts. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical degree . Master's degree in engineering or MBA is a plus.                   Experience :    15 years of operational experience                           Licenses & Certifications : N / AWorking Conditions : Overseeing 24x7 operationsMust be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA / CT / NH as necessary.Eversource Energy offers a competitive total rewards package.
