We are seeking a dedicated Furniture Store Manager to oversee all the operations of our furniture store.
Retail and management experience is necessary. The right candidate will have great decision-making skills and be able to execute or delegate all daily tasks. The Store Manager is expected to uphold all company policies and hold their employees accountable to company expectations, while providing excellent customer service, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage store operations including inventory control, sales, and customer service.
- Lead and motivate team members to meet sales targets.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Address customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is functionally efficient and presentable.
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, and profits.
- Arrange store merchandise and manage promotional activities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
- Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations and applicable laws.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Organization skills with an attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures, including cashier accountability and deposit control
Work Experience and/or Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Management/Supervisory experience in a retail environment
Working Conditions:
- Frequent walking and standing
- Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to stock merchandise and unload trucks and assemble furniture.
- Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as box cutters, merchandise containers, two-wheel dollies, pallet jacks and other equipment to move furniture and pallets.
- Frequent and proper lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
- Occasional or regular driving
