Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be critical in ensuring smooth payroll processing, efficient onboarding of new hires, and comprehensive support for employee benefits and compliance. This position requires a strong background in payroll and benefits management, exceptional organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with wage and hour laws. Address payroll issues, including audits and reconciliation, to ensure precise and smooth payroll operations.
- New Hire Coordination: Develop job postings, review applications, arrange interviews, and issue job offers. Conduct background checks for prospective employees. Ensure seamless onboarding by setting up new hires in the payroll system and organizing calls to explain PTO, vacation policies, and benefits packages.
- Benefits Administration: Implement and process 401K contributions, compile the year-end 401K census for actuaries, and manage HSA contributions. Act as the primary resource for addressing employee inquiries about insurance, payroll, 401K plans, and other benefits.
- Employee Relations and Support: Act as an advisor to managers and employees on HR policies, performance management, and conflict resolution. Foster a positive workplace culture through open communication, team-building initiatives, and responsive HR support.
- Employee Benefits Management: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. Conduct benefits enrollment and handle inquiries to ensure employees understand and maximize their benefits. Review and recommend benefits programs to stay competitive in the industry and enhance employee satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience in payroll processing and onboarding within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with payroll systems, particularly ADP, is preferred but not required.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices is a plus.
