The position is hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote at either the Manassas or the Reston office depending on the business activity.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and review the output of matrixed employees (Payroll, A/P, Billing, Labor Reporting)
- Review and approve business unit transactions before they are recorded in the general ledger, including Timesheets, Labor cost, A/P, Billing, and Payroll,
- Reconcile G/L accounts and review G/L account reconciliations prepared by others,
- Take ownership of business unit general ledgers,
- Ensure that business unit transactions are recorded in a timely, accuracy, and complete manner,
- Prepare business unit financial statements,
- Interact effectively with Corporate and business unit finance staff, (A/P, Billing, Payroll), supply chain staff, contracts and legal, human resources and compliance.
- Prepare, manage, monitor, review and update as required, Standard Operating Procedures for finance functions,
- Interact with internal and external auditors, and
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 7 years of Government Contractor finance experience, with at least 5 years’ experience as a Sr. Accountant
- 3 years of hands-on experience using Deltek CostPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at a private equity Government Contractor multi company is preferred, and
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks is a plus.
- College degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills, proficiency with complex models and financial analytics
- Effective communicator with proficiency in using Word & PowerPoint.
- 10 years of Government Contractor finance experience, with 5 years as a Sr. Accountant
- 5 years of hands-on experience using Deltek CostPoint,
- Prior program control and project EAC/ETC experience is a plus.

Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
