About Exact Medicare

Company Overview

Exact Medicare was founded with a clear vision: to simplify the complex world of Medicare for retirees and provide them with the confidence they need to make informed healthcare decisions. What started as a humble operation with a deep understanding of the challenges retirees face—endless mail, confusing options, and relentless calls—has since grown into something truly special. Today, we’re proud to be recognized as the fastest growing Medicare brokerage firm in America. We’ve expanded nationwide, bringing together some of the most trusted agencies in the country. Hundreds of independent licensed sales agents have joined our ranks, and we’ve attracted world-class talent to our corporate team. As we’ve come together and joined forces on this amazing journey, we’re all empowered by our core values, which drive everything we do.

Our Core Values

  • Extreme Ownership: We take ownership of our actions and responsibilities, delivering the best possible results for our clients.
  • Above Reproach: We uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics in all interactions and decisions.
  • Culture of Candor: We foster a culture of open and honest communication, valuing ideas and feedback to continuously improve.
  • Atomic Growth: We are committed to continuous personal and organizational growth to better serve our clients and community.

Position Overview

Are you the Sherlock Holmes of spreadsheets? The Gandalf of benefits? Do you dream of crafting compensation packages so stellar that employees can’t help but say, "Wow, they really get me"? If so, keep reading—we’re looking for someone like you to join our team.

As our Total Rewards Manager, you’ll be the mastermind behind ensuring our people are paid fairly, rewarded handsomely, and cared for with benefits that make life a little sweeter. Think of yourself as the guardian of all things pay and perks. From designing innovative compensation strategies to making sure every benefit detail runs like clockwork; you’ll be the go-to expert for keeping our team happy and engaged.

Your mission (should you choose to accept it):

  • Keep us competitive in the market while managing the numbers like a pro.
  • Work closely with People Ops, leadership, and external vendors to create benefits and compensation programs that make employees say, "This is the best place to work!"
  • Dive deep into data to analyze trends, solve challenges, and make sure we’re ahead of the curve.

This is a role for someone who’s a mix of practical and creative—a numbers whiz with a human touch. You don’t just see charts and policies; you see how they impact real people. If you're ready to take the lead and make benefits and compensation your ultimate masterpiece, we’d love to meet you!

Job Duties

  • Oversee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and alignment with company goals.
  • Design, implement, and manage salary structures, incentive plans, and other compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers, benefits brokers, and third-party administrators to negotiate contracts and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Coordinate salary reviews, merit increase processes, and open enrollment for benefits to align with company strategy and budgets.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries about compensation and benefits, and deliver educational resources to enhance understanding and engagement.
  • Work with executives, People Ops teams, and managers to align compensation and benefits strategies with overall organizational goals and workforce needs.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits trends, compare with industry standards, and provide recommendations to keep the organization competitive.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local laws related to compensation and benefits to maintain compliance and minimize risks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience (typically 3 years) in compensation and benefits management, HR, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience working with compensation tools, spreadsheets, and HRIS systems.
  • Strong understanding of relevant federal, state, and local laws, including FLSA, ERISA, ACA, and other compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Psychology, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Professional certification (Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR)) is preferred but not required.
