Summary of Position:
The LBW Runner is responsible for efficiently and accurately delivering alcoholic beverages from the bar to guests in various sections of the restaurant. This role requires excellent coordination, time management, and a keen attention to detail to ensure that drinks are delivered promptly while maintaining the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery of Beverages: Efficiently transport drinks (liquor, beer, wine) from the bar to guests' tables or other designated areas within the restaurant.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all beverages are presented correctly, with proper garnishes, and at the appropriate temperature.
Guest Interaction: Politely interact with guests when delivering drinks, offering a brief description if necessary, and ensuring that the guest's needs are met.
Order Accuracy: Double-check order tickets to ensure that the correct drinks are delivered to the right guests, minimizing errors.
Coordination with Bar Staff: Work closely with bartenders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of drinks, communicating any special requests or modifications.
Speed and Efficiency: Prioritize and organize drink deliveries based on ticket times and guest needs to maintain a smooth flow of service.
Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all local and state laws regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, including verifying guests' ages if necessary.
Maintain Cleanliness: Assist in keeping the bar area and drink stations clean and organized, including collecting and returning empty glasses to the bar.
Support Team: Provide assistance to servers and bartenders during peak times, helping to expedite service and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
Monitor and Communicate: Be aware of any issues or delays in drink preparation and communicate effectively with the service team to resolve them quickly.
Additional Duties: Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or other supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including different types of wine, beer, and liquor.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carrying trays of drinks.
Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry preferred.
