We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team and provide onsite support for our Distribution Yard located at our New Braunfels, TX Manufacturing Facility.
About the Role
A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the shipment of fiberglass swimming pools and pool equipment to homeowners and distribution centers across the U.S. and Canada. This role involves scheduling deliveries, coordinating drivers, organizing pilot cars, obtaining permits for oversized loads, and communicating with our Customer Service Team and customers regarding each shipment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain the delivery schedule to ensure timely deliveries that align with customer schedules.
- Schedule drivers and pilot cares for escorting of oversized loads.
- Collaborate with permit agencies to secure permits in advance for oversized deliveries.
- Ensure DOT compliance by verifying that drivers necessary items for each delivery.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance events on truck and trailer assets.
- Develop weekly P&L reporting for deliveries.
- Conduct pre-departure inspections. NOTE : This requires physical effort, including climbing ladders to inspect pools.
- Coordinate monthly inventory, tracking shipments and transfers at assigned storage yards.
