Dock Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver/Dock Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our loading dock while ensuring the safe transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heavy equipment operation, along with a commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and clamp trucks, to load and unload materials efficiently.
• Supervise warehouse operations, ensuring that all processes are conducted smoothly and safely.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage materials handling effectively.
• Coordinate the scheduling of shipments and deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch of goods.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices for equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts and clamp trucks.
• Strong background in warehouse supervision or materials handling.
• Familiarity with RF scanning technology for inventory management.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations and safety.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
