Purpose
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all facets of the organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with Tiger BioSciences’ business and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes robust system reliability, information security, and compliance with industry standards, particularly within a medical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage information technology equipment in accordance with organizational policies
- Diagnose and resolve technology issues across all platforms including MES, ERP, and M365 in a medical manufacturing facility
- Assist with planning the technology roadmap and aligning it with enterprise-wide strategic plans
- Oversee equipment inventory, selection, and purchasing
- Secure and manage networking infrastructure
- Manage shared and dedicated support teams
- Document and secure sensitive accounts
- Establish service level expectations with the business, and report on key performance indicators
- Maintain 99.99% availability on designated critical infrastructure
- Root cause analysis
- Monitor all technology services, maintain IT assets, and information security
- Oversee business software needs
- Administration of all technology systems
- Ability to transition between hands-on, individual contributor, and management duties
- Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to develop leadership in direct reports and department management
- Manage, establish and monitor objective annual goals for direct reports
- Conduct performance reviews and establish performance improvement plans as needed.
- Recruit, interview, and select personnel for hire
- Travel domestically up to 15% to attend offsite meetings, conferences, and support business initiatives
- Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings
- Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes
- Maintain flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary
- Provide business after-hours or on-call support remotely or on-site as needed for operations support and/or emergency events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Expertise in M365, Single Sign-On (SSO), Entra ID, local Active Directory (AD), server administration, networking equipment, and data cabling standards
- Proficient in LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, or similar software for infrastructure monitoring
- Familiarity with GxP, FDA regulations, and other relevant standards
- Experience with Jira workflows, development pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Visio
- Ability to interpret complex technical procedures and government regulations
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, from an accredited college or university required
- At least 5 - 8 years of IT experience with progressive management responsibility required
- At least 5 years of IT management experience preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in IT engineering required
- Knowledge and application of GxP standards, including FDA 21 CFR Part 11
- Clearance of favorable background investigation required
