Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, extremely friendly, Medical Receptionist with Optometry experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in patient service and medical terminology, with a strong understanding of front desk operations in a medical and retail setting.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents
-Perform some pretesting for patients as needed if a technician is absent.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical optometry office setting preferred
-Knowledge of Optometric pretest equipment a plus
- Proficiency in Officemate software is a plus
- Knowledge of optometry terminology and procedures is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
