Job Summary

We are seeking an Optical Lab Technician to join our team! As an Optical LabTechnician, you will be responsible in the manufacturing, repair, and customization of eyeglasses and lenses. Candidates should have a strong understanding of optical instruments, materials, and industry-specific processes.

You will also assist as needed with procedures done by the doctor in-office, help educate patients on eye health and best practices, and maintain an organized, clean work environment at all times. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and is extremely organized.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and gather medical history and relevant information for their visit
• Conduct an initial assessment of the patient and record all findings
• Assist in in-office procedures, as needed
• Educate patients on best practice and eye health
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times
• Grind, edge, and finish lenses to precise specifications.
  
  
  

Assemble eyeglasses, ensuring accuracy in alignment and prescription.

Operate optical lab equipment, including lensometers, edgers, and tint machines.

Perform quality control checks to maintain high standards.

Collaborate with opticians to meet customer needs and specifications.Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience desired
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
