F.C. Dadson is a Retail and Commercial Casework manufacturer seeking a Project Manager for our Construction division. We specialize in designing, engineering, fabricating, fulfilling and installing retail environments that meet the end users needs. F.C. As a member of our Construction Project Management team, you are expected to effectively work with our clients, General Contractors, Subcontractors and other outside vendors on multiple projects in various locations nationally.
Essential Functions
Customer service driven. Must work with a diverse client and customer base in the franchise and corporate markets.
Able to represent the most demanding and engaged clients in executing interior commercial renovations, usually in occupied buildings.
Excellent organizational, written and spoken communication skills, including exceptional prioritization and follow-up skills.
Able to effectively review and understand construction drawings.
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to interact with executive-level external and internal clients.
Strive to be highly organized, detail-oriented and reliable professional who can work independently.
Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports. Provide shipping instructions including verification of site off load conditions where applicable
College degree in business or a related field or a combination of experience and education
A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in project and / or marketing management. Familiarity with project management tools and / or software packages
Develop and monitor a project time line for each project
Coordinate contractors and subcontractors for new and ongoing commercial construction, tenant improvement and renovation projects.
Solid understanding of industry-standard construction, bid and payment documents.
Analyze bids and issue contract documentation; track contractor insurance certificates and monitor licensure status.
Ensure the on-time completion of construction, punch-list and close-out processes on-time and on-budget and assemble all warranty and legal closeout documentation for projects, ensuring all items are in order for final completion and payment.
Review, approve and validate pay applications, invoices, lien waivers and other construction and payment documentation; interface effectively with all FCD departments.
Up to 20% travel is required for this position.
Determines appropriate revenue recognitions, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
Accurately forecasts revenue.
Working conditions
- May work in all weather conditions.
- May work around chemicals, biohazards, fumes and electrical or mechanical hazards.
- Will need to climb ladders and stairs of various heights.
- Most of the time will be spent in a standard office setting at a desk for long periods of time.
