Job Summary:
FABco, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Trainee to join our team. This is a 90-day training period designed to develop the skills necessary for transition into a full-time Inside Sales Representative role upon successful completion. The trainee will receive hands-on training in customer service, order processing, and sales support while working closely with experienced sales professionals.
Training Period & Transition to Full-Time Role:
- The Trainee period will last for a minimum of 90 days, during which candidates will learn essential sales functions, product knowledge, and customer interaction skills.
- Performance will be evaluated throughout the training period.
- Success will be measured by the Trainee’s ability to demonstrate and apply the training in day-to-day operations as well as standard measures of attendance, continuous improvement, and ability to work well with others.
- Upon successful completion of the 90-day training, the trainee will be promoted to a regular, full-time Inside Sales Representative with increased responsibilities and earning potential.
Key Responsibilities During Training:
- Learn and develop an understanding of FABco’s products, customers, and sales processes.
- Assist in processing sales orders, preparing quotes, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Shadow experienced sales representatives to understand customer interactions and relationship-building techniques.
- Gain proficiency in CRM software and internal systems for sales tracking and reporting.
- Work closely with other departments (inventory, logistics, finance) to support order fulfillment.
- Participate in sales and product training sessions to build industry knowledge.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team as needed.
- Demonstrate progress by applying learned skills in customer interactions and order management.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous customer service, sales, or administrative experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a desk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and telephone.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
- Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) for reading and computer work.
- Ability to communicate clearly over the phone and in-person.
Work Environment:
- Office-based position in a professional business environment.
- Standard office hours with occasional overtime based on business needs.
- Minimal to no travel required.
