Detailer/estimator- Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Steel Detailer and Estimator who can also take on Project Management responsibilities for our steel fabrication shop.

Key Responsibilities:Steel Detailing and Estimating:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication plans using SDS2 or Tekla software.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication projects, including material quantities, labor, and overhead.
• Review project specifications and drawings to identify discrepancies and provide solutions.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, drawings, and project documentation.

Project Management:

• Oversee the execution and completion of fabrication projects from inception to delivery, ensuring they are on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule work and allocate resources effectively.
• Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the fabrication shop, managing communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress and performance of projects, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions as needed.

Administrative Duties:

• Answer incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries and providing information about services and projects.
• Manage project-related communications, ensuring responsiveness to client needs.
• Support general administrative functions, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining project schedules.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
