FMM is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk at our Denham Springs office location. FMM is a maintenance and construction company located in Denham Springs, LA servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide. Job Description:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk at FMM, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions related to vendor invoices and payments. You will collaborate closely with the accounting team, project managers, and vendors to maintain efficient operations and uphold financial integrity within the organization.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Receive and review credit card receipts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Code receipts with appropriate general ledger account codes and project codes.
- Enter receipts into the accounting system accurately and promptly for payment processing.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Facilitate the approval process for invoices, obtaining necessary approval and documentation.
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries, payment status, and other accounts payable matters.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and support as requested.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in accounts payable or related finance/administrative role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and employees.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with construction industry terminology and practices is a plus.
