Position Summary: The incumbent be responsible for a variety of administrative functions, including providing accurate and timely payroll processing through our HRIS system in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies, as well as other related activities in our Human Resources department
Required Experience:
- Associate’s Degree; (In lieu of a degree, two years of directly related full-time administrative assistant experience with payroll experience will be considered.)
- Detail oriented
- Proven customer service skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Proficiency in Google Calendar and Gmail
- Proficiency in time management
- Basic understanding of payroll
- Ability to meet acceptable background check standards.
Preferred Experience:
- Paypro WorkForce One experience is strongly preferred
- Working in a unionized environment is strongly preferred
- Human Resource Information System (Data entry, report generation)
- Recruiting platforms including but not limited to Indeed and Handshake
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of Human Resources/Payroll departments.
- Assist with the recruitment and hiring processes
- Assist with payroll processes (including but not limited to payroll adjustments, reporting, and time tracking)
- Schedule meetings and interviews.
- Maintain employee and student files.
- Input employment verifications.
- Enter information into the human resources information system
- Respond to verification of employment inquiries.
- Update and maintain office supplies, shredders, copiers, and conference rooms.
- Keep bulletin boards and required postings current.
- Create ad-hoc reports on HR-related matters.
- Prepare and send reminder notifications for annual training and exams.
- Prepare new student hire packets and verify the accurate completion of forms.
- Typing of various documents, including but not limited to creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
- Filing personnel documents weekly.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources and Payroll Functions.
- Assist with special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $23.00 per hour
