Accounts Payable Specialist

Fairchild Communication Systems, a technology systems integrator, is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in Indianapolis.

OPPORTUNITY:

As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will process incoming invoices, reconcile vendor accounts, and ensure timely and accurate payments. You will maintain accounts payable records, verify transactions, and collaborate with Purchasing team, customers and vendors. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, utilize your problem solving and organizational skills to effectively work with the Accounting Manager and CFO.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Receive, verify and process invoices from vendors.
• Ensure invoices matches material purchase orders and receiving reports.
• Code invoices accurately and enter invoices into our Q360 accounting system.
• Prepare payment to vendors and ensure timely payment.
• Reconcile payments with vendor statements.
• Assist in month-end closing processes and audits.
• Cross train in Accounts Receivable including customer invoicing, posting customer payments & deposits, and process credit and collections.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Associates or Bachelor’s in accounting preferred yet not required.
• 1-2 years of experience working in Accounts Payable.
• Proficient in accounting software. Knowledge of Q360 software or other similar software is helpful.
• Willing to be cross trained in Accounts Receivables. Prior experience is helpful.
• Highly analytical, organized, and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong working knowledge with AP, AR, inventory, journal entries, research, analysis, and reporting.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
