Information Technology Director
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT DIRECTOR OR SPECIALIST)
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the administration, planning, developing and monitoring of corporate computer information systems. Performs maintenance and modifications of programs currently in use to keep them responsive to user needs and ensure efficient functionality throughout the Resort operations. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practice to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage, administer and maintain a variety of information systems required for daily operations including third-party software, network servers, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.
- Plans, programs and monitors departmental operations; selects computer hardware, equipment and software; trains employees as necessary.
- Coordinates computer applications with departments served; meets with key personnel as necessary to assure effective service delivery.
- Ensures that system backup procedures are successfully performed regularly within all departments.
- Maintains personal computers to include component replacement and software installation, and monitor systems to improve network performance.
- Maintains an inventory of data processing supplies and reorders as necessary.
- Perform periodic billing and prepare special query reports as necessary.
- Maintain working knowledge of current technology and provide recommendations for future information system direction and enhancement.
- Assist staff with hardware and software issues. Maintain working system through repair or replacement components.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of multiple information systems and software operations including NT Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server.
- Strong computer knowledge including, but not limited to Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL Server.
- Advanced knowledge of networking equipment.
- Knowledge of hardware installation including commissioning and installation of software.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on personal computers.
- Ability to maintain working system through repair or replacement of components.
- Good written and oral skills
- Ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities.
- Assist with general office duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems and equivalent experience is preferred.
Working Conditions: Typical office conditions; some noise exposure when working with printers.
Mental Requirements: General, verbal and numerical intelligence.
Physical Demands: Lifting up to 30 pounds, speaking and listening.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
