Golf Shop Sales Associate/ Outside Golf Services

The Outside Golf Services/ Golf Shop Associate position interfaces with our golf customers on a daily basis and maybe the first and last points of contact at times. As such these individuals are responsible for creating a welcoming environment and service level that meets and exceeds their expectations. This individual may be asked to work both in and outside the golf shop on a daily basis.

Golf Shop Sales Associate

Responsibilities:

· Greeting and checking in customers for their tee times, responding to questions, and providing outstanding customer service

· Pleasant phone etiquette and ability to take tee times and answer a wide variety of questions about the golf operation

· Stock, tag, and display merchandise on golf shop floor ensuring all merchandise is neatly arranged and restocked to proper level

· Operating the POS registers, managing financial transactions and balancing drawers

· Directing customers to merchandise within the store

· Informing the head professional when running low on a product of supply

· Good product knowledge of both golf and snack bar products

· Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the shop and snack bar floors

· Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers

· Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts

· Ability to complete all of the procedures related to closing and or opening the golf shop

Outside Golf Services

Responsibilities:

· Cleaning the golf cars after each round of golf to the standards in the Golf Shop Operations Manual

· Staging carts in front of the golf shop so that players can access the golf bag loading and seating areas easily

· At all time make sure that the cart wash area is clean and neat

· Maintaining the range tee in a neat and orderly fashion by picking up excess baskets, trash and other items on a regular basis and check to be sure that the club washer has adequate water

· Pick up range balls on a daily basis and clean pick the night before the range is mowed

· Check the mini golf area on a regular basis to insure a good presentation.

· Maintain the areas around the golf shop including the patio, bag room cart staging and storage areas in a neat clean and orderly state at all times.

· On a regular basis replace the water coolers on course when needed

· Maintain the rental club fleet in a clean organized state at all times

· When the beverage cart is being utilized prep the cart by ensuring its cleanliness and assist the beverage cart personnel with daily loading and unloading of the cart

· Maintain a supply of scorecards and pencils in the mailbox on hole #2 tee

· Ensure that the cleaning area faucet is turned off and the hose is Unhooked during periods of potential frost

· Retrieve balls from the mini golf area each time before your shift ends

Requirements:

· A professional appearance, and ability to work as part of a team and take direction from and assist the Golf Shop staff

· Maintaining a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction

· Ability to read, write and perform basic math

· Ability to see things from the customer’s point of view

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time

· Ability on occasion to lift up to 50 pounds

· Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for safe conduct and good manual dexterity for the use of completing most of your responsibilities
