Position Opening : Full Time, Mon - Fri hours

Summary and Purpose :

Fairmount Homes is seeking a results-oriented Senior Billing Coordinator who will be responsible for day to day billing and collection activities of accounts receivable, including Medicare, Managed Care, Medicaid and Private Pay. Fairmount aims to expand the billing team in order to provide outsourced third-party billing services to other local facilities. The Senior Billing Coordinator, will also be responsible for providing education and training to current personnel on accurate coding practices and compliance issues.

Employment Qualifications of Senior Billing Coordinator :

5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Advanced knowledge of medical coding and billing systems and regulatory requirements.

Working knowledge of Medicare, Private Insurance, and Medicaid Billing in a skilled nursing unit setting.

Demonstrates critical problem-solving and appropriate, independent decision-making abilities.

Performs a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature in order to meet deadlines proficiently.

Demonstrates a sensitive, strong teamwork attitude in order to resolve conflicts, recognize needs of others and maintain cooperative relationships that facilitate task accomplishment.

Maintains a positive attitude and actively promotes good communication using the English language.

Communicates professionally with staff, residents, families, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications : Experience in Point Click Care and Inovalon is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Senior Billing Coordinator :

Streamlines billing and collections processes for skilled nursing and rehab units by preparing and submitting claims to insurances, reviewing and following up on any discrepancies.

Onboarding of Medicaid clients, renewals and timely communication with local County Office.

Setup and configure Point Click Care to ensure accurate invoicing and reporting as needed.

Assists with the implementation of billing systems.

Prepare, post, verify and record customer and insurance payments to resident accounts and billing logs.

Prepare invoices, statements and collection letters for mailing and answer resident questions as required.

Import and enter all ancillary charges into Point Click Care.

Complete required reporting and preparation of audit documentation and reviews.

Participate as an active member of the monthly Triple Check process.

Completes monthly A / R closings including balancing accounts, reviewing aging reports, and verifying balances

Updates and configures annual pricing and rate increase for Private Pay, Managed Care and Medicaid across all facilities.

Navigate incoming resident, resident representative and insurance company inquiries related to all billing matters.

Prepare Cash Deposits as needed.
