Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust ASP.NET Core web applications utilizing the .NET Core technology stack.
- Engage with legacy code that has evolved through contributions from multiple developers over time.
- Utilize standard debugging tools, such as the Visual Studio debugger and browser development tools, to identify and resolve application errors.
- Implement GIT for source control management in a collaborative team setting.
- Optimize complex SQL scripts to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with business owners and team members to achieve project objectives.
- Document both existing and newly developed application features comprehensively.
- Minimum of 5 years of programming experience.
- Proficiency in languages such as VB6, VBScript, C#, T-SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Extensive experience in ASP.NET development, specifically with .NET Framework and .NET Core, as well as Entity Framework and/or ADO.NET.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio development environments.
- Strong understanding of design patterns and principles of database normalization.
- Proven track record in extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes along with SQL Server tools such as Integration Services, BCP.exe, and T-SQL Bulk Load.
- Knowledge of scheduled jobs, including SQL Agent and Windows Scheduled Tasks.
- Experienced with GIT source control management.
- Solid grasp of front-end development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with JavaScript libraries for user interface development, including jQuery and React.
- Experience with Oracle APEX and PL/SQL is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in application development.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in programming roles, particularly in ASP.NET and T-SQL, including work with legacy systems.
