- Communicate IT value propositions effectively, addressing both business and technical perspectives.
- Write and review policies concerning IT, privacy, and security.
- Develop comprehensive business cases and ROI analyses for IT initiatives.
- Collaborate within a matrix management framework, engaging with clients, vendors, and internal resources.
- Participate in project deliverables to ensure alignment with proposed solutions.
- Maintain a solid understanding of North Carolina’s statewide security and privacy policies.
- Strong ability to articulate technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Proficient in writing and reviewing IT, privacy, and security policies.
- Expertise in developing business cases and conducting ROI analyses.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly in engaging with senior-level executives.
- Solid understanding of general IT architectural principles.
- Experience with business software technology and analysis tools.
- Detail-oriented with a strong command of M365 applications for drafting and reviewing policies and processes.
- Proven experience in business analysis and policy development.
- Familiarity with vendor interaction and project management.
- Knowledge of data asset classification, retention schedules, and federally regulated data management.
- Preferred familiarity with NIST 800-53 rev5, NIST RMF, and associated frameworks.
- Experience with system data dictionaries and creating documentation in Excel is a plus.
