Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team as a Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) Business Integration Specialist for a 2-month hybrid contract based in Raleigh, NC. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of the Medicaid Enterprise Modular Pharmacy Business Management Solution while working alongside talented professionals in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in collaboration with the Pharmacy Business team.
  • Provide comprehensive support in the areas of Clinical policies and Prior Authorizations, Drug Utilization Review (DUR), and related processes.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including the PBM vendor, to facilitate the onboarding process.
  • Assist the Pharmacy and Ancillary Services Business Unit in implementing the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP) and related initiatives.
  • Develop and document business processes, use cases, and testing scenarios to support Medicaid initiatives.
  • Engage with multiple departments, including the DHHS Data Office and Policy Office, to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Required Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Medicaid Pharmacy Benefits Management processes and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Capacity to translate business needs into detailed requirements.
  • Experience in Medicaid, managed care, and Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the healthcare sector is essential.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with business process documentation and analysis is advantageous.
