We are seeking a skilled Advanced Planning Writer to join the Division of Health Benefits as part of a 1-year remote contract. This role is crucial for the development of Advanced Planning Documents (APDs) and Medicaid Detail Budget Tables that will support the NC Medicaid and Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Create Advanced Planning Documents and Medicaid Detail Budget Tables to facilitate planning and operational activities for the NC Medicaid initiative.
- Lead the kickoff, review, and closeout meetings for APDs, ensuring thorough documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Review and provide insightful feedback on NC FAST APDs to enhance quality and compliance.
- Draft and prepare CMS submittal letters that are integral to the Medicaid documentation process.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including project teams, technical teams, and vendors to ensure cohesive development of APDs.
- Exceptional writing and documentation skills.
- In-depth understanding of Medicaid policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and communicate across technical and non-technical teams.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Medicaid planning or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or a related discipline is required.
