Key Responsibilities
As a System Administrator for ServiceNow, you will be responsible for:
- Customizing and creating forms and fields
- Developing new applications, modules, and tables
- Activating plug-ins as necessary
- Generating reports, gauges, and dashboards
- Establishing and monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Creating and managing Service Catalog requests and items
- Modifying and publishing Service Catalog workflows, including approvals
- Importing data into the ServiceNow instance
- Utilizing update sets for customization management
- Customizing the Knowledge Base and developing Access Control Rules (ACL)
- Implementing custom scripts and third-party software integrations
- Supporting business requirements translation into technical specifications
- Facilitating the rollout of new applications and modules
- Managing ServiceNow system upgrades, occurring three times annually
- Troubleshooting patch and release management issues
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficiency in web technologies such as XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and HTTP
- Basic familiarity with ITIL v3 methodologies
- Understanding of enterprise IT architecture
- Knowledge of relational databases and experience with database manipulation
- Strong technical troubleshooting and application configuration skills
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or in progress)
- A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT operations or similar roles
