Key Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and its operational requirements.
- Identify and document existing and future state process workflows to streamline operations.
- Create comprehensive documentation, which may include user stories, permission matrices, and wireframes.
- Assist in performing functional and integrated testing to validate system functionalities.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts, encompassing analyses, reports, and user documentation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and end-users to ensure that LIMS designs align with business requirements.
- Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support, including crafting test scenarios and cases as per DHHS methodologies.
- Document gap analyses and monitor the progress of deliverables in accordance with the approved Project Work Plan.
- Attend PMO meetings and other relevant gatherings in the Raleigh area to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in documenting functional requirements and technical specifications for applications.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in diverse teams.
- Proven results-oriented approach with an outstanding work ethic and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and IT Service Management best practices.
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or similar healthcare systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and relevant frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology) is preferred.
