The role of the Clinical Review and Quality Assurance RN involves conducting thorough reviews of patient records, working collaboratively with clinical staff to address discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires strong data analysis skills to identify trends, as well as a commitment to fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning within the organization. The RN will play a key role in participating in quality initiatives to enhance patient safety and healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities Job Description
- Review all initial clinical assessments and reassessments for qualitative and quantitative content of the medical record, completeness, and compliance with quality of care standards—as related to federal, state regulations, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to address data integrity issues, consulting with clinicians as needed and ensuring corrections align with organizational policies.
- Analyze clinical data to identify trends and offer recommendations to improve performance.
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and industry standards.
- Ensures appropriate ICD-10 coding and sequencing as it relates to the client’s medical condition, including any co-morbidities.
- Assists with other chart audit activities as assigned.
- Participate in annual competency activities, to include annual co-visits in the field
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the healthcare organization.

Current MN Nursing License
Current American Heart Association or Red Cross issued Basic Life Support (BLS)
