Fairytales and Tiny Tails Rescue is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Kitten Rescue Assistant to help us save the tiniest and most vulnerable kittens. This is a volunteer role where you’ll be working closely with our President, Vice-President, and team to provide care, support, and love to our kittens in need.

What You Will Do:
Adoption & Event Support
- Assist with setting up and breaking down adoption events.
- Help care for and monitor kittens at events to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Interact with potential adopters, answer basic questions, and help match kittens with families.
Supplies & Organization
- Organize and distribute kitten supplies, including food, litter, and medical items.
- Assist with preparing foster kits for new foster families.
- Help track inventory and notify the team when supplies need restocking.

This is a hands-on, in-person volunteer role where you’ll be working closely with our rescue team to provide care, support, and love to our kittens in need.
We need someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal welfare. If you’re ready to get your hands dirty (sometimes literally!) and make a real impact, this role is for you!
What You Will Do:
Event Planning & Coordination
- Plan, organize, and coordinate fundraising events, adoption events, and community outreach activities.
- Work with vendors, venues, and sponsors to secure event locations, supplies, and partnerships.
- Develop event timelines, task lists, and budgets to ensure smooth execution.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down events.
- Interact with potential adopters, fosters, volunteers, and donors.
- Managing and assisting with projects and donation campaigns.
Other Duties as Needed
- Assist with organizing and distributing kitten supplies, including food, litter, and medical items.
- Transport kittens to and from vet appointments or foster homes (if available and comfortable doing so).
- Assist in emergency situations, such as helping with sick kittens or urgent rescue intakes.
- Support the team with various tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
- Must have the availability to join team meetings
- Help to develop creative ideas to connect with potential supporters and businesses to build relationships and partnerships
- Research potential funding sources
- Work closely with our team to ensure all communications reflect our mission, tone, and goals.
What we are looking for:
- Passion for animal welfare and a strong desire to help rescue kittens.
- Ability to handling kittens of all ages, including fragile neonates, if needed.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to maintain a clean and organized space.
- Reliable and able to commit to a consistent schedule.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible scheduling, but regular availability is preferred.
- Must be able to attend most events.
