We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials within our warehouse or production facility. This role is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of operations and ensuring timely delivery of materials to the required areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or production facility using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas to optimize space utilization.
- Prepare materials for production by following pick lists and ensuring correct quantities.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols while handling materials.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to fulfill operational needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to lift, push, and pull heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.).
