The ideal candidate will have flexibility around working hours and be available to work overtime. While household responsibilities are minimal, light housekeeping related to the child (tidying play areas, occasional vacuuming/dusting, and meal prep) is appreciated. The family has a friendly dog, so comfort with pets is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental activities (sensory play, language-building exercises, motor skill development)
- Engage the child in structured learning, imaginative play, and outdoor activities
- Support socialization through outings and interactions with other children
- Maintain a structured, screen-free environment
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks
- Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times
- Provide daily updates to parents on activities and developmental progress
- Assist with light housekeeping related to the child (tidying play areas, child’s laundry, occasional vacuuming)
- Be open to potential future infant care, as the family plans to expand in the near future
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced in early childhood care (ECE/CDA certification is a big plus)
- First Aid/CPR Certified
