Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join our team. As a patient care coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, customer service and administrative support in a friendly and caring manner.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Schedule and confirm dental appointments using scheduling software ( Dentrix)
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Manage patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
- Process payments, handle insurance claims, and assist with billing inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in dental office software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of medical administrative support and dental terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient records and documentation
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
