Position Summary:
Provides services to Family Healthcare of Hagerstown patients to enhance the provision of quality care. Activities include referral and test tracking, notification of providers of patient non-compliance and notification of patients of clinical results. Develops systems to follow up patient compliance with appointments, consults, referrals and medical tests. Assists with Quality Assurance monitoring. Supports and follows through with the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the Family Healthcare of Hagerstown.
Provides tracking and reporting for labs, X-rays, specialty referrals and quality measures to improve patient quality of care.
Maintains a tickler system utilizing the orders management report to ensure ordered tests and referrals are completed.
Audits the EHR for completed results based on the established dates in the tickler system.
Contacts specialist offices to determine if referrals/tests were completed. Obtains necessary documentation.
Demonstrates regard for, dignity toward, and respect for all patients, families, guests, and representatives of other organizations to ensure a professional, courteous, and responsive environment.
Works independently and utilizes time appropriately. Exhibits a positive attitude towards work responsibilities, FHH patients, coworkers, and community groups. Has less than 2 complaints by patients, co-workers and community agencies per year.
Performs job responsibilities with attention to safety concerns relating to staff, equipment, and the facility.
Maintains respect for employees and volunteers, and their individual commitment and contributions in support of FHH
mission to provide consistent quality services.

Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Graduate required; additional medical related training/education helpful.
Experience: Medical background with one to two years’ experience required. Computer skills and experience required. EHR experience preferred. Must have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to speak, write and understand the English language.
Physical: Minimum physical effort required. Intermittent sitting with freedom of
movement. Occasional walking, bending and lifting.
Mental: Frequent periods of concentration with attention to details with frequent opportunity for diversification of tasks. Must have excellent communication skills as well as be able to speak, write, and understand the English language. Must be able to work independently and work flexible hours.
Environmental & Working Conditions
Work performed in modern well-equipped environment. Interfaces with fellow employees on a daily basis. Uses office equipment daily, multi-line telephone, fax machine, copier, shredder, and computer.
