Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, and compliance with employment labor laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a proactive approach to change management and project management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process by screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
- Facilitate employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture.
- Manage employee records in HR systems such as PeopleSoft and SAP, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support conflict management initiatives by addressing employee concerns and facilitating resolutions.
- Collaborate with management on change management strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with employment labor laws and company policies throughout HR processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR projects that align with business objectives.
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management to oversee HR initiatives from inception to completion.
- Experience with HR software such as iCIMS for applicant tracking and PeopleSoft for employee management.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques to resolve workplace issues amicably.
- Familiarity with employee orientation processes to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
- Understanding of employment labor law to maintain compliance within HR practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage transitions effectively within the organization.
Tools & Equipment Utilized
This position requires regular use of:
- Computer and supporting software programs, including Google Suite, Email, Slack, Canva, Wix, Typeform, and electronic databases.
- Office equipment such as printers and copiers.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and talking.
- Active mobility for up to 2 hours at a time.
- Ability to move, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds as per State of Washington Labor & Industry standards.
