Accounting Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Employee will interact with the public and assist CSR with the sale of farm products and customer inquiries.

Duties

• Assist accounting manager with tasks related to the bookkeeping of various companies.
• Perform accounting duties assigned by the accounting manager, such as assisting with accounts payable and receivable.
• Utilize Sage 50 Accounting software for assisting customers with farm supply purchases.
• Assisting the CSR manager with waiting on customers, answering telephones and light housekeeping tasks.
• During the fescue harvest season you will assist with the purchase and testing of combine fescue seed.

Skills

• Understanding of customer relations is helpful.
• The right person will be trained on our computer system, but basic office skills are required.
• Familiarity with general computer usage is required.
• Knowledge of basic accounting standards is a plus.
• Solid grasp of financial concepts and their application in real-world scenarios.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
