What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Assistant position at Farmers National Bank?
Position Summary: Provide support and assistance to loan officers to render superior customer service.
Essential Functions
1. Submit request for early disclosures to Centralize Loan Processor and prepare for signature upon receipt of the documentation.
2. Order title opinion, mortgage, appraisal, title insurance, fema, hazard insurance, pull payoffs, pull credit reports, and any documentation required to ensure that all underwriting conditions are complete.
3. Print loan package from Centralize Processor to prepare for loan closing.
4. Upon closing, loan package is organized and prepared for loan scanning to include processing of loan tickets and ensuring all compliance guidelines have been satisfied.
5. Assist Loan Officers with loan closings when called upon.
6. Pull Past dues and assist in collection when called upon.
7. Work Notes Maturing Report to prepare files for renewal to include recertification of fema and ordering of evaluations and appraisals as needed.
8. Work Note Tickler weekly to obtain pending documentation to complete the loan file. This includes following up on final opinions, final title insurance, and ensure collateral documents are recorded properly.
9. Work Line Tickler weekly to obtain annual financial statements and tax returns.
10. Filing of documentation in loan files or submit to scanning.
11. Preparation of Denials
12. Answer customers calls to provide assistance with payoffs, balances, etc. and provide superior customer service.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
2. Performs Job Duties in Accordance with all appropriate laws and regulations to include BSA
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to speak English and hear. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to process loan documents. The majority of the day (80%) would be sitting at a desk. Occasionally it is required for the employee to bend, kneel or crouch (5% of day), walk (10% of day) and climb and balance (less than 5%). The employee may be required to lift up to 15 pounds to perform their job.
Education, Experience, and Skills
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2. Computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office required.
3. 2 years' experience in lending operations is preferred.
4. Office equipment (including but not limited to) computer, calculator, and telephone.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
