Description

This position involves functioning as the Bank’s primary contact with the public, recognizing customer needs and suggesting services that may apply and opening various deposit accounts, receiving and paying negotiable instruments according to existing policies and procedures, managing a cash drawer, handling customer inquiries and problems, making loan payments and balancing and maintaining the ATM and TCR.


Requirements

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for opening and closing the branch, unlocking vaults, safes and drawers, logging into computer, recording night deposit transactions.
  • Receives and pays checking and savings deposits and withdrawals, checking endorsements, verifies balances and signatures, and issues receipts, processes various types of payments, issues cashier’s checks.
  • Responsible for maintaining and balancing a teller cash drawer.
  • Responsible for opening and closing various types of personal and business accounts, CD’s, IRA’s and HSA’s, etc.
  • Recognizes customer needs for possible cross-sell opportunities of other products or services.
  • Assists branch manager with customer requests.
  • Accepts stop payments from customer after verifying appropriate information.
  • Handles various telephone inquiries from customers.
  • Responsible for balancing and maintaining the ATM and TCR.
  • Orders and sells coin and currency for the branch.
  • Drive branch performance results through strong internal and external individual sales performance
  • Assists customers with overdrawn accounts, past due loan payments and maintenance on deceased accounts.
  • Incorporates the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example and service in every facet of work.
  • Support business development events.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned and assists others to complete tasks and work assignments.
  • Total commitment to compliance with all industry rules and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills needed to liaise with providers, vendors, and other professionals.

Qualification Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Intermediate PC skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective decision making and problem solving skills
  • Detailed oriented

Qualifications Desired

  • Proven ability to handle other assignments and effectively prioritize and manage workload
